Christmas Message

As the Christmas holidays approach, I wanted to take the opportunity to put a few thoughts down on ‘paper’.

First of all let me wish all of you – our staff, our captains and crew, our customers, our suppliers, and everyone else – a very Merry Christmas! I offer my sincere wishes for a great holiday season and wish you all a Happy New Year (in advance) for 2019.

The Christmas holidays always provide a natural time to take a step back from the business and reflect on the happenings of previous year. I would like to extend my thanks to all my team who have worked so hard this year to drive the business forward.

So a big well done to all the team for their efforts in the past 12 months. A huge focus now on streamlining processes and increasing efficiency, coupled with a host of new exciting customers, means that Reliance Yacht Management will look forward to another successful year of significant growth.

I will also ask that we remember those captains and crew that will be at sea at this time away from the friends and family continuing our good work to complete their deliveries safely.

We must also spare a thought at Christmas for those in need and those who are less fortunate. I am incredibly proud of our efforts during 2018 to support charities including National Autistic Society and Priors Court School.

Best wishes to you and your families over the Christmas holidays. Here’s looking forward to a great 2019.

Shipping Routes

Reliance Yacht Management Presents New Shipping Routes to their Clients

  • La Rochelle to Baltimore
  • La Rochelle to Guadeloupe
  • La Rochelle to San Diego
  • Southampton to San Francisco

Dealers and yacht owners looking to deliver their European yachts by freight need to get a clear quote and know what you are paying for. It is difficult and almost impossible to compare quotes like for like when any additional costs to the freight service is not included or hidden in the small print.
Fuel surcharges
Port handling fees
Cargo insurance
Can be a nasty surprise if they are not made clear from the start

Reliance Yacht Management is well know for it yacht deliveries with professional crews but what is less know is the options we supply to our corporate clients for freight services. For some years now we have providing shipping services across the Atlantic and more recently from Europe to the US West coast.
We have developed strong business relationships with all the specialist shipping lines and many of the small ones as well that enables us to negotiate competitive rates. But where we are able to offer the greatest value to our clients is where the freight is just one element of the service required by the client.
There maybe a regular shipping service from say from Genoa, Italy to Port Everglades, Florida which is fine if your yacht is already in Genoa and you only want it to go to Port Everglades. Reality is somewhat different. we can enable client to benefit from that regular service even though their yachts can originate from anywhere in the Mediterranean and be delivered onward to anyway. From Port Everglades that could be the Bahamas or the Florida Keys for example.
Reliance yacht Management is able to draw on the various elements required to provide a single proposal to clients for a multimodal service. Our clients include the world’s leading yacht dealerships in the US, Europe and the Caribbean. What makes them world leaders is that they good at what they do, and that is they sell, sell yachts, sell charters. The complex issues involved with dealing freight forwarders, yacht captains, cargo insurers, equipment suppliers, shrink wrapping and so on demands time.

Lagoon 630 Long Monday departs for America

The Latest Lagoon 630 Motor Yacht departs for Florida .

Reliance Yacht Management was tasked to deliver her safely from the factory in Bordeaux to her final destination in Ft Lauderdale. This involved the coordination of the various elements required to create a seamless, multi model delivery.

After launching, Long Monday required the necessary QC checks and sea trials before she was accepted by the client. Temporary safety equipment was supplied and Reliance Yacht Management moved her up the coast to La Rochelle where she was prepared for loading. Further QC checks were made and protection installed in the vulnerable areas. The dinghy was covered to protect it for the duration of the shipping.

The Captain captured in video the moment  it was lifted out of the water on board and secured to the deck.

At every stage Reliance Yacht Management organised and liaised with yacht builder, QC, captains, shipping lines, insurers, port authorities, document agents etc to ensure a smooth transition. Reliance acted as the single point of contact throughout.
