Annapolis Boat Show 2015

With the Annapolis Boat Show right around the corner, Reliance Yacht Management, the leader in yacht delivery and logistics, gives you an inside look at what’s to be seen at this year’s showing. The Annapolis Sailboat show will take place from October 8th through 12th.

Sailors from around the globe gather in historic Annapolis for the United States Sailboat Show. This internationally acclaimed sailboat show is the largest and oldest in-water sailboat show in the world.

Visitors have the unique opportunity to board and inspect most new models on the market, make side-by-side comparisons, and talk to industry representatives about all aspects of buying and owning a boat.

There will be hundreds of boats on display, welcoming the “main players” onto the scene. Although we do not have a stand, we will be there to assist and support our clients including an exhibitors, fleet operators, visitors, buyers, and yacht owners.

Aside from exhibitors that have services regarding all aspects of yachting, the vessels on display will be the Show’s main attraction. For the yacht Owner, a period of orientation and extended handover provides valuable familiarisation and enjoyment of their new purchase. The service can be customised to suit the client needs. Recently we have been providing two day orientation courses for new Owners collecting their yachts direct from factory in France. The course covering sail handling, manoeuvring and maintenance. On other occasions we have provided a captain for the initial part of a voyage and giving support and confidence to the owner to continue on. Appointing a Yacht Delivery Company

Employing someone to deliver your yacht has hidden advantages for new boat owners who join the delivery for all or part of the voyage.  Most notably is the chance to learn on a one to one basis from experienced, qualified captains and crew. A captain who has specific experience of Biscay for example can provide an element of safety and reassurance. Sunreef 74 Hull #01

Reliance to deliver the first SR74

Sunreef Yachts have confirmed the launch of three Sunreef 74s for the start of next year. Reliance Yacht Management has collected hull no. 1 from the yard for delivery to a private Owner in US. We sent our leading catamaran crews to Poland in January 2015 for a period of orientation, sea trials, preparation and handover. The first hull named Wildberry is described by Sunreef as “a private yacht adapted for on board living and consists of many comfortable areas and numerous storage spaces as the owners are planning long cruises. The yacht will comfortably accommodate 6 guests and 2-3 crew members.”

New Lagoon Catamarans Delivered

Reliance Yacht Management completes the delivery of two new Catamarans across the Atlantic.

We are proud to announce the recent handover of a Lagoon 52 to a major yacht Charter company in the Virgin island after an Atlantic crossing from the CNB factory in Bordeaux. Since 1987, CNB has been building sailing and motor yachts in aluminium and high tech composite from up to 200′. With more than 90 boats delivered.

The second catamaran delivered lagoon 450this month for the same client is a Lagoon 450 and  has just arrived in Ft Lauderdale.

 

 

 

 

 

Both yachts had the extra challenge of making the delivery during the hurricane season. The risks however were minimised by the use of satellite tracking and two-way communications through sat phones. This enabled shore based weather support to provide the Captains with the latest meteorological data and forecasts.
