Port engine sometime charge batteries sometime not. Probably loose connection somewhere. We are trying to find it.

01st May 2018; Captain and crew on board Punta Delgarda

12th February 2018; Aiming for a possible weather window to Funchal on Thursday. The crew will use the time in Ponta Delgarda to get some work done on the boat. We have been quoted

  1. Genoa repair € 200
  2. Replace reef linew € 2.10 per metre X 50  € 110
  3. Make and replace 2 pulleys € 65 each X 2 € 130

Work commenced today and expected to complete Wednesday

10th February 2018; Arrived Ponta Delgarda

09th February 2018; Departed Horta. ETA Ponta Delgarda tomorrow noon to top up fuel.

08th February 2018; Captain reports re; fresh water leak

it took a long time to find the problem ,which was a duff O ring on the small blue pipe in the stbd aft toilet

We found diesel residue in the bilge whilst sorting out the water

there was a loose fitting on top of the diesel tank,this was tightened hopefully this will resolve the issue. we aim to depart tomorrow morning

07th February 2018; Engine service completed. Crew have recovered headsail halyard and  inspected sail. Condition reported in photos

06th February 2018; Mainsail batten to car bolt welded and repaired. See photos before and after in gallery above

Got generator power everywhere except to aircon.
Radar now working.
GPS and chart plotter now working.

  1. NO.2 CHAFFED
  2. LAZY BAG CHAFFED AND SMALL DAMAGES
  3. NO.1 MAINSAIL BATTEN TO MAST CAR.BOLT SHEERED
  4. GENOA SAIL TOP CONNECTION AT TOP OF FORESTAY SAIL IN SALOON
  5. ROPE DAMAGE .THE GREEN ROPE WAS THE DESIGNATED ROPE ATTACHMENT TO LOWER AND HOIST GENOA
  6. CLEAT BROKEN STBD AFT
  7. DAMAGE AND MAKE SHIFT REPAIR TO STBD AFT SUGAR SCOOP
  8. STBD AFT CABIN DOOR JAMB BROKEN OFF
  9. STEERING CABLES LOOSE. NUTS ON QUADRANT LOOSE
  10. AUTOPILOT BOLTS LOOSE
