Nautitech Open 46 Flo delivered

Last Atlantic Crossing Delivery of 2017 Completed

A BIG thanks to Captain Lionel Lebrenn and his crew for another successful delivery. Flo, a Nautitech 46 catamaran was collected from La Rochelle and delivered to her new home in the Grenadines where she will be available for charter. The care taken at every stage meant that Flo arrived in perfect condition and ready to start work.

Thanks also to Gregor at Aeroyacht for appointing Reliance Yacht Management to complete the delivery.

The Yacht was commissioned in La Rochelle, France and the crew joined soon after. A series of quality control and procedures and boat preparation was completed before they were ready to depart. Weather can offer particular challenges in Biscay in winter and finding the right weather window for departure is essential to make a safe start to the delivery. Searout provide weather routing support for the Atlantic crossing

As a new yacht, the engines are required to have their initial service carried out by an authorised dealer. This was carried out by Yacht Works in Cascais, near Lisbon. The technicians had access to the vessel’s positions reports and ready to start as soon as the boat arrived to minimise delays and costs.

The Client was able to monitor the progress of all their yachts on delivery through their on line Yacht  Delivery Management Dashboard. This secure management system gives access to the latest position status, captain reports, photos and videos.

Conor Fogety wins OSTAR

Proud to learn that former Reliance Yacht Management delivery captain and friend Conor Fogerty was first in class in this year’s OSTAR. http://rwyc.org/ostar/
From Howth, Dublin, Ireland, Conor has been sailing most of his adult life. Growing up beside the sea created a want to sail over the horizon and explore the world. Leaving Dublin in 1995, he set off with dreams of sailing round the world. He now feels more at home at sea than on terra firma. During his travels, he has amassed over 300,000 nautical miles at sea. Completing over 30 transatlantics through racing and deliveries, two round the Worlds, one three year cruise on an Oyster 70 in 2000-03, and as skipper of Cardiff Clipper in the Clipper round the world race 05/06.

International Multihull Boat Show

International Multihull Boat Show 2017 is coming soon.

The Multihull Show was created back in 2010 with the aim of presenting catamarans and trimarans in the water.
The original concept was to set up a version on the Atlantic coast in even years and in the Mediterranean in odd years. The first editions of the event were thus shared by Lorient (Brittany) and La Grande-Motte (South of France).
Now to suit the requirements of boat-builders, the Show is held every year in April in La Grande-Motte.

Flights and hotel booked. Diary beginning to fill up. Looking forward to meeting old friends and clients. Let’s do business.
